Ann Arbor Summer Country Club Wedding | Tess & Oliver
Tess and Oliver tied the knot on a beautiful August day at a stunning golf course in Ann Arbor, MI. Tess wore a floor length A-line gown with a beaded upper bodice and layers of airy chiffon tulle on the skirt. She accessorized with a cathedral length veil, Betsy Johnson blue bottom wedding heels, and jewelry. Tess shared a special moment with her sisters and bridesmaids prior to walking down the aisle in sharing a first look together. The girls were ecstatic to see Tess in her wedding day look.
Oliver wore a two toned black tuxedo accessorized with opalescent cuff links, a black bow tie, and glossy black loafer Steve Madden dress shoes. Following getting ready with all of the groomsmen, they gathered for some portraits around the country club.
Tess and Oliver chose to wait until the ceremony to see one another for the first time. Witnessing their excitement seeing one another as Tess’s dad walked her down the aisle was unforgettable. Their faces lit up with joy and disbelief that they were about to get married. Tess’s Uncles officiated their ceremony and they transitioned into the reception located in the ballroom at Barton Hills Country Club. They celebrated with their friends and family all night long. This reception crowd was definitely one to remember!
I had so much fun capturing Tess and Oliver’s day. Thank you for choosing AES Photography for your special day. I wish you both all of the love and happiness marriage has to offer as you embark on this new journey together!
A word from the couple,
"After meeting with Alyssa, we knew we wanted to book her for the wedding, she was so nice and easy to talk to and answered all the questions we had. It was also super easy to connect with her after that initial meeting, so if more questions came up she was quick to respond. Alyssa was very organized and professional. She maintained communication throughout the whole wedding process. My husband and I are not picture people, and Alyssa made the whole process so easy and helped us feel comfortable. She was able to pose us in flattering ways. Alyssa did a great job adjusting to various shooting environments (wind, sun, clouds, woodsy, water). She was great at adjusting angles to avoid cars, people, buildings, etc. She was so helpful during the whole process and was always willing to answer any questions or change things based on our preferences. We chose not to do a first look and were a little stressed about time leading up to the wedding, but Alyssa was able to use that time for bridal party shots and details of the wedding to make sure every minute counted. She was also flexible because while I hadn’t originally planned for some shots (i.e. in our robes getting ready) she was able to fit them in. Alyssa had a really quick turnaround for sneak peaks. While she had a busy schedule before and after our wedding, we got them within a week which was so exciting and kept us riding the wedding-high. When we got the rest of the photos, it was like reliving the day. They were organized well on the website and were absolutely beautiful! They looked so lovely and the lighting/editing was exactly as I hoped they would turn out." - Tess O., Past Bride
